RentinNerja Changes Name To RentIn-Nerja

Blog | Posted by Burt
Mar 20 2009

As the SEO specialist for the RentIn Group I am responsible for the smooth operation of Search Engine Marketing and natural rankings within the search engines !  Under normal circumstances the development of the Apartment Rentals / Villa Rentals sites for locations across Spain is generally business as usual, yet the original Nerja site needs a slight name change to fit in with the other websites representing areas such as Mijas, Marbella and Javea.

Now this is a worrying time!  The transfer of content etc is not the problem, its keeping the visitor traffic from the search engines coming to the site which presents the problem when changing domain names.  Why? . . . because all of the links already listed by Google are all pointing to the old domain name, which provides the “authority” count for Google as part of its valuation on how important the site is compared to every other site on the same subject.  So the question for me is how do I go about transferring all of this good ‘authority’ indexed by Google – over to the new domain and avoid loosing our position within Googles Search Results.

Clearly there’s a lot of links within Blogs, reviews and forums where folk have referenced the Nerja Villa Rentals web site and there’s very little chance of getting those links changed, so we run the risk of losing the “link juice” from most of them.  Thankfully we are holding onto the original domain and and there’s what is called a permanent redirect (code 301) that we can set on the original domains server which informs the search engines, when they follow the original links to the original site, that there is a new location for the content of the page and this new location for the Nerja Villa Rentals will be updated over time within the search engines and the transfer of most of the “authority” value of a site should move over to the new domain.

Google’s Matt Cutts mentioned in his blog that its a good idea to leave up the 301 redirections on the old domain for at least 18months…   clearly because there’s not guarantee that Google will cover the whole of the inbound links/web pages of a sight within a shorter period of time.  Of course, this means continuing to pay the domain and hosting fees of the old domain along with the new domain.  However, under the circumstances and the importance of maintaining a decent position within Google for Nerja Accommodation Rental then we have no other option.

Kauai is a tropical paradise garden (it is called the “Garden Isle”) and a Kauai vacation offers countless opportunities for lovers to celebrate their love and to treat themselves, whether it be for a milestone anniversary or a Hawaii honeymoon. Whether you enjoy a quiet time in the sun, the spectacular natural beauty, extraordinary wildlife, or world class food and drink, you and your family will take home memories from that will last the rest of your lives.

Hawaii offer countless opportunities for lovers to celebrate their love and to treat themselves, whether it be for a milestone anniversary, and honeymoon. The vast sandy, white beaches and crystal clear waters offer the best environment to warm, or even rekindle a love affair. The nightlife also on the islands is wonderful too.

The Hawaiian Islands are the perfect vacation spot. They are ideally suited for families with children. Hawaii is almost limitless in family friendly activities. There are a variety of water sports to choose from or you can take advantage of land tours like the Honolulu Zoo and the rainforests.

Hawaii is full of volcanoes and visiting any of them provides enjoyment for all ages with their spectacular beauty. Although some of these volcanoes continuously bubble out molten lava these can still be seen up close. Another thing that attracts tourists is Hawaii’s spectacular waterfalls. These falls, with all their magnificence, are often best viewed using helicopter, which is safe for the whole family. Another interesting attraction for families is Hawaii’s plantations. One can view traditional techniques being used for harvesting in many farms.

You may still be in the United States, but the local cuisine is like nowhere else in the USA. Fresh tropical fish, bright vegetables and colorful fruits make the food enjoyed in Hawaii as distinctive as anywhere. The islands also host the freshest seafood you’ll ever find.

Summer Cottage Adventure Travel in Iceland

Traditional options for accommodation when you travel to iceland sometime prove too costly for families and small groups. Foreign tourists looking for bargain travel deals in Iceland get great value for money while staying in a summer cottage rather than in a hotel or a guesthouse. Viator an an online reservation/booking service  provides an exclusive but inexpensive booking service on behalf of 130 owners of privately owned summer cottages in all parts of Iceland.

Viator.is was founded in 2002 by Petur Oskarsson and Bjarnheidur Hallsdottir. The company represents the owners of 130 privately owned cottages located in all parts of the country who make their cottages available for rent to foreign tourists visiting Iceland. Although each cottage is furnished and decorated differently they all include hot and cold water as well as heating. The cottages also include a shower or a bath, fully equipped kitchen and one or more bedrooms.

“About 80 percent of our customers spend their time here during the summer season which coincides with the traditional school holidays in Europe and North America,” says Oskarsson. Those visiting the country in winter would enjoy a different kind of experience such as sitting in a hot-tub heated with geothermal water while gazing at the northern lights.

Nearly half of all summer cottages in Iceland are located within an hour’s drive from Reykjavik the country’s capital where 65 percent of the population lives.

Further information about renting privately owned summer cottages in Iceland is available both in English and in the German language as Ferienhäuser in Island on Viator’s website: www.viator.is

Even though it’s not easy for everyone to buy a home, it is in fact easier than ever to get a home these days with most lending agencies and banks being more liberal than ever with providing Sarasota Real Estate loans and mortgages.  Even if you don’t have a lot of capital or a lot of money to put down, you can still get the home of your dreams at a very affordable price.

A lot of us think that buying a home is a tough process, needing a large down payment, although this isn’t always the case.  Buying a home largely depends on your budget.  If you put a down payment on your home purchase, it will go towards your overall purchase.  The more money you put down on a home when you purchase, the lower your monthly payments will be.

Those of us who don’t own Sarasota property live in rental houses and apartments.  This can be a worthwhile solution, although your still paying money towards your housing that you could instead be putting towards a home of your own.  Owning a home is a dream for many of us, especially when it comes to that dream home that we all hope to own one day.  Apartments and homes are great to rent – although most these days will cost you just as much as a mortgage payment – which doesn’t make any sense at all.

Instead, you can easily convert your rental payments into monthly installments towards your own home.  All across the United States, you can find of lot of banks and lenders that offer easy to get loans for purchasing your own home or real estate property at low interest rates.  With a lot interest rate, you can get the home of your dreams and enjoy low monthly payments.

Keep in mind, you need to choose a loan plan that’s best for you.  You can go through bank, through a lender, or use a service online. There are many different ways that you can go, although real estate agents seem to be the most common now days.  Good real estate agents will be more than willing to help you get a great deal on the home, at prices that are right for you.  Anytime you buy a house, you should always plan ahead, get yourself a real estate agent, and then pursue your dream home.

If you plan your budget and take things one step at a time, you’ll be closer than you think to the Sarasota Home of your dreams.  If you choose to keep renting and pay money toward something you don’t own – the home of your dreams will continue to slip away.  Take action now and stop renting – find the home of your dreams and put your money towards owning it instead.

El Filibusterismo Buod

Blog | Posted by Burt
Mar 19 2009

The vacation is coming to a close, and pretty soon it will be back to school or back to work. But I still haven’t finished reading the different chapter summaries of Jose Rizal’s El Filibusterismo.

There are 37 chapters, and the novel is quite riveting (although I still prefer the more romantic Noli Me Tangere). The El Fili has darker undercurrents which talk about revolution. It is easy to understand how the main character (Ibarra in the Noli) has transformed into Simoun in the El Fili.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, time is running out. I’m scrambling for a summary (or buod) of the entire novel. Perhaps if I had the luxury of time, then I would carefully savor Rizal’s writings and get to know his characters better.

Characters such as Padre Florentino, Fray Damaso, Isagani, Maria Clara, Senor Pasta, and many more will surely be treasured and remembered thanks to this masterpiece of Jose Rizal. Among the colorful characters I shall never forget is Donya Victorina, who was first introduced in Chapter 1 of the El Fili.

The strange thing is, most of us fail to appreciate the novel while we are still in high school or college. It is usually only when we have left the four walls of our school, when we are busy with work and family, that we finally learn to appreciate Rizal’s Noli and El Fili better.

That’s when we have more time, somewhat, to go back and read those old, yellowing pages. There’s no pressure, no high grades to aim for. There’s only the still, quiet air around us as we ease into a comfortable chair.

And as we go deeper into the story, we remember our life back then. Back when we were teenagers wishing we did not have to read Rizal, and back to the days when we had the time of our lives with our friends.

Truly, required reading does not have to be boring. It does not have to be some kind of chore. We may not see the true value today, but I am certain that somewhere down life’s road, we shall come back.

In the meantime, I will return to the pages of the El Filibusterismo, and admire the skill and writing talent of Jose Rizal.

Model Railroad Scales

Mar 18 2009

If you are pondering the thought of building a model railroad you will need to decide what scale you want to model in. Model railroad scales are G, HO, Z, S, O, and N scale. HO scale is currently the most popular scale for model railroaders. HO Scale means that scale size objects such as model railroad scenery or rolling stock will be 1/87 the size of full scale.

The smaller model railroad scales are Z scale which is 1:220 and N scale which is 1:160. These scales are ideal when limited space is available for a model railroad layout If you have a lot of space you might select O scale with is 1:48 and easier to work with. Garden railroads use G scale which is 1:24.

It is very important that you plan your model railroad prior to building it. You should have a scale drawing showing all of your track plans. Begin by laying out your roadbed using actual track to get the correct arc for the curves. After you have completed the roadbed you can begin the job of putting down the track ballast

Now you can have some real fun and begin your model railroad scenery. This is where you can be creative and use your imagination. Scenery can be added at your leisure. Some modelers never entirely finish their model railroads as they are constantly adding to or changing their scenery and buildings. Some modelers base their layout and scenery on actual cities and towns while others make it up as they go. Regardless of your preference you can find lots of resources on the internet like model railroad software, model railroad books and instructional websites.

Proctor and Gamble are the medical and cosmetic health business behind both the Oral B and Crest teeth and dental care brands. These are just two of the wide range of brands that Proctor and Gamble produce but all of them are highly successful. This is likely to be down to Proctor and Gamble’s commitment and dedication to research and development in order to produce innovative new products. When it comes to P&G’s dental health products their innovations with products like Oral B electric toothbrushes and Crest whitestrips are clearly working as these are among some of the respective brands top sellers and have received much critical acclaim.

The Oral B brand is probably best known for their innovative developments in both manual and electric toothbrushes. The Oral B electric toothbrush range has been highly successful with the Oral B Triumph toothbrush becomming one of the top teeth cleaning products in 2008. There has been much investment in both the oscillating and sonic toothbrush heads, this is why Oral B electric toothbrushes are so effective at removing plaque, whitening teeth and improving the health of your gums.

The latest development from Oral B is the Pulsonic electric toothbrush. The sonic technology used to clean the teeth, vibrates at about 27,000 vibrations a minute, producing a gentle cleaning effect on your teeth and gums. The new Pulsonic has also been proven to whiten teeth with 2 weeks of regular use.

Crest specialises in making toothpaste and toothbrushes but one of the most successful products in recent times has been Crest whitestrips. Crest whitestrips are a simple yet effective teeth whitening product that is placed on the teeth for 30 minutes at a time. These have been highly successful, as the clear plastic strips, covered in whitening gel, are extremely easy to use and achieve visible results. The latest development in Crest whitestrips has been the improvement of their fit on to the teeth. The new Advance Seal white strips claim to fix on your teeth so well, that it is comfortable enough to kiss someone whilst whitening.

Shopping For A Perfect Mattress

So you’ve finally decided to buy a new king size mattress. You are ready to invest some money because your back are hurting you for years. One way to get a cheaper solution that will fit your budget is by doing more research, it will definitely work. There are plenty of comfy beds in the market, more than people know actually. So if you’ve been desperately craving a good night’s sleep for once, read on further and you can thank me later.

I strongly recommend you take one idea and forget about it: healthy back are caused by hard mattress. The padding is up to you but the structure is what is important. Once you get into a mattress shop you might get that feeling of wanting to leave immediately since the sheer amount of options could most likely put you off of buying a new one. A mix of materials is used while making mattreses so a clarification factor won’t help much at all. In short, you can find 6 mattres types that will help you sleep well and get some good rest.

If you want to try the softness of a memory foam mattress, you do not have to buy full set and pay big money for it, simply get yourself a foam topper that will be placed on top of your current sleeping surface. Since the price can be pretty high, almost as a full size mattress, you should do some research before you decide to buy something. If your mattress if already in a dire state, these won’t provide any additional support.

The most affordable option is a twin size continuous coil bed and you can go for this option if you only need basic function. Since it’s made from a single looped wire you will feel every movement anyone else will be doing if they are sharing your bed. The bad news is, all the coils will not hold on for long so you will soon be faced with sagging in the middle of the mattress and will have to replace it.
